Hmm I am not exactly sure about that Sire. It started with the few forums that I frequent, knowing they allow dofollow signatures. Then I went on to visit others through links and just compiled this list..

This is a FANTASTIC list. I’ve found many of these forums are so loved by google’s search spiders that it can be a good way to get a new post (or site) at least seen by the search spider.
Backlinks are VERY valuable and I would argue more powerful than the direct traffic that you’re going to get from these forums. You will certainly learn things in many of these forums. With regards to backlinks from multiple posts in a single forum… it’s been my impression that the power of multiple links from the same IP address (or site) are not as effective as multiple sites - so you will likely see better impact from visiting multiple forums.

Great list! I’ve spent all day trying to get some good backlinks only to find out about this whole “nofollow” thing.. I still can’t believe it. And this is something that almost no one knows about too. Can I start my own Money Affiliate Program to promote my business? If you run a business which would benefit from online marketing directory (and which business wouldn’t?), you can get host sites to place your ads on their pages and broaden your customer base with little effort. You will need to compensate them for generating new business.
I just simply object showing such list of do follow forums and blogs. My friend, this will only lead to the comment spamming from the ones who have been hired from the companies to submit their company’s or client’s link. We just need to save these blogs rather than showcasing them openly for spamming.
I think its wise to be aware of the different methods of getting “useful” backlinks to your site (even tho) you might get an occasional incoming spam message. isn’t that why they invented spam arrest anyway?

+1 for the 5-star Affiliate board……….within 5 hours of posting my siggy link, Google Bot crawled it (I got one of my Google Alerts notifying me that a link with my URL was found).
This list of do-follow Forums and other IM sites is (for the most part) an excellent inventory of useful URL’s.
What I have discovered after visiting each site is that some arrive with an 404 error and a few others are not “like minded” for Affiliate Marketing per se.
That said, the vast majority of these links have proven to be worth the time & effort to visit, sign-up and post a relevant comments. As a matter of fast, I have customized my Firefox “speed dial” plug-in with the top 9x Forums that I find to be VERY useful.
I will post a review of this routine on my PPC Blog site so others can use this semi-automation model if they so desire.

Since finding this “do-follow” list a few weeks ago, I’ve joined >10 and you’re right, some (most) of these Forums will drive traffic to your site.
What I’ve also discovered is the SAME thing will happen when you upload a relevant VIDEO to one of a 100+ video sharing sites. I have found this technique to create twice the traffic as the Forum model. So, by doing BOTH, the increase in targeted traffic is worth the extra effort.
[Note] It’s wise to read the TOS on these Forums. Some are more strict in their posting guidelines. 50+ posts are required before you can add an html link to your New Topic Posts.

Thanks for your great contribution for SEO. Definately will bookmark your blog. Any many people do not know how tell a dofollow website.
So I just want to share my knowledge here. Simply use Mozilla Firefox with nodofollow add on. Indicator red is nofollow and blue is dofollow.
Let me reiterate that this is a great list I just hope that it’s not doomed since every time someone takes the time to put one of these together every blog on the list gets spammed to death. I noticed several have already changed to their now no follow. Also the nodofollow add on for firefox is awesome. I’ve been using it for some time now and love it.

Wow, this is a great list. Wondering if there are any renewable energy sorta niche forums with high PR and dofollow, but I guess you can’t always have your cake and eat it. List is good enough for the make money niche, it’s just that the renewable energy niche is HOT.

The list is quite enormous. The only thing remaining is to be patient enough to sign up for all of them and post useful stuff. The way I normally do is, keep 3 or 4 forums for 1 week. I am active in only these 3/4 forums for an entire week. Then I move to the next. It gives attention to all of them, and is a good long term strategy.
