Ok guys, I will keep this short because you guys need to get cracking to save your precious twitter account.
There is a worm called MIKEY spreading like a bad-ass virus on twitter now and it is going to take over your account and spam nonsense. You will not notice any change initially until you start to see your background change, your url changes and people are telling you that you are infected.
DO NOT click on any links like what you see below because thats how the worm is passed to you. Just follow my steps for any precautions or repair.

Here’s how you can fix and save your account from the worm:
1) MOST importantly, change your password immediately!
2) Re-update your usernames, bio and URL etc.
3) Change your background back to the default one that Twitter offers then back to your custom one.
4) Clear your browser history and caches.
5) Restart browser.
This should be able to deter you from the Mikey worm and hope it doesn’t mutate to something scarier. It is into its 4th round of attack already, so please protect yourself now!

Thanks for the warning and the steps to avoid this Virus. I still don’t understand what people get out of creating these Viruses. They should use their talents for good.
Thanks again

Thanks for telling us about these Ben! Btw, I’ve yet to see any msg from Mikey Worm that you mentioned above, perhaps it has no interest to spread its’ virus using my twitter account, lol!
Between Ben, so are you interested in doing link exchange as I mentioned to you in the email? Do let me know your thoughts about it okay? Thanks.

Lee

Seems my Twitter account its safe for now. These guys should not work in the “Dark Side of the Force” LOL. They could do a lot of money with their skills, they seem too dumb for that, I guess.

How terrible. I really think Twitter gets an awful lot of abuse – and probably what will happen is like so many great things that were out there that will become too much of a spam playground to really enjoy anymore.

I do agree but the reason why many hack such sites is because they can and will spam sites to abuse a reputables’s company or website it’s just the way of reality people will find ways to vandalize things
