A few hours ago, the world witnessed the 44th President of USA, Barack Obama, take his oath and becoming the first blackman to preside the white house. However odd it may seem, the stock market went crashing down minutes before the inauguration. Be it heaven’s will or just simply bad luck, I think this crash came very timely as it is a good platform and opportunity for Obama to put his words into action and bring the Americans a whole new and rich USA!
Now what can we learn from this tough man and integrate it into our own internet marketing effort?
1) Targeting the right audience. Or rather, targeting a wider range of audience. When you want to win the heart of your country, do you focus only on the economic factor and target only the working society? Not to me, because the country is also made up of the younger and older ones. Just take a look at how Obama made use of social network like Twitter to reach out to the mass. I am not saying that only young people play around with twitter but they do make up a majority of them! Would you have imagined the President of United States being just a twitter account away from you? Twitter is just amazing!
Secondly, he was able to capture the soul of the black community around him. Disclaimer: This is no racist statement. Being the first black man to win a preisdent seat was astonishing not only to the blacks, but to the whole world and I must salute Mr. President here, he just has charisma.
2) Dare To Take Up Challenge And Working Hard To Deliever. At this point of time, America is faced with a big economical problem and it can indirectly affect the entire globe. With the fall of Lehman Brothers, nothing could be worse in your imagination. Obama never backed off, instead he promised to come up with policies and actions to ensure to bring the economy back to its original state. This is the kind of fighting spirit and professionalism we should pick up since internet marketing is not an easy success too. Take up all kinds of challenges and mark my words, the more challenges you’re able to overcome, the more skills you will learn. Make sure you deliver your words and if you don’t have the ability yet, make sure you do something about it!
3) Willing To Invest To Success. Have you watched the 30 minutes TV Advertisement that Obama made while running the elections? Yeap, he spent 1 million on that. Thats it! If you want exposure at the shortest possible time, then you may need to consider setting aside some funds for advertising.

If you Obama’s campaign in 2008, I can say he built a perfect campaign from start to finish. He also had a faultless record.

Oh my!…I did not intend to get into politics and my God says I must respect my leadership, but he does not say I have to like him or embrace him with open arms. I intend to pray for him daily as I am concerned and pray there is a ray of hope. I truly hope he proves me wrong for my country’s sake. I stressed in many forums during the campaign that people need to read his books to see exactly what kind of man they were voting for. He is already pledging his support to kill more innocent babies and embrace the homosexual agenda. He has nominated a tax evader to handle our country’s money. He was right square in the middle of the plot to sell his senate seat in Illinois.
Sorry Ben, I did not intend to get so political. You did a good job on research and this is a good post you made. I know your post was to relate his efforts to our own online businesses and not a political agenda, but other comments got me kinda stirred up.
I do follow your blog but do not often comment which I got to get back to doing.
Thanks…Leon

Sorry Ben…I will keep commenting strictly to future business posts you make. Obviously my Christian beliefs have tagged me as a hater which is fine because that seems to be the tag used most often to describe the millions who believe the word of God. As far as comparing President Obama’s campaign to one’s business, I agree that all 3 traits you analyze are key to building your business. BUT, those same traits are used to build most scams. SO, you need one more factor…ethics and we will surely find out in 4 years or less whether we were scammed or not. As a NON racist, I truly hope our President can turn things around for this country.
Rather than tie up your blog with politics, I will welcome any disagreements be discussed by emailing me at leonbowes@yahoo.com

Wow, there really are haters everywhere, aren’t there? I support every one of his positions, and thank goodness for that. I guess the rest of us black people will just have to accept it for what it is.

This indeed is going to be a very hard time for Obama. But I think he kinda inspires many people, as he proved that also a black man can become a President (no racism), which for some people seemed an impossible thing to do, yet he did it, and cheers for that !
We will just have to sit and wait, but I agree with you Ben, he indeed has some great charisma.
Cheers,

Well there are two amazing things happen in American now, one there’s mass economical problem there, yet in this very critical period American led by a Black(It’s not racial remark) man, good for all black people in American and Obama show them what you’re made for. This is pretty amazing for me.

Great post, Ben, with the main theme being that he was willing to take up the mantle, run for the office, stay pretty true to his vision and get elected. And it wasn’t just black people who were happy, as you said, but people around the world. Can you imagine having almost 1.5 million people coming to see you in person? I mean, how many cities in the world are that big?
As far as your general points, working hard to deliver on your promises or vision is, hopefully, what most of us strive for. As long as we do that, and try to stay positive, there’s little we can’t get done, no matter the distractions of detractors.

President Barack Hussein Obama has a huge task ahead of him, trying to put right the wrongs eight years of Bush mismanagement have created. Kudos to him for an extremely tech-savvy presidential campaign though, he definitely won the war in cyber-space hands down!
