Guys, I need some serious comments from you people. I have spent quite some time and effort building this version 1.0 theme for my blog but there is some visual problem when viewed in FireFox. Some suggested I should change my blog theme while some said its professional enough. Given the amount of effort and time I spent on building it, I find it hard to make a decision.
Since I am blogging for my readers, I decided why not I ask you guys what you think. Should I go ahead and change my blog theme and go into Pei Profit 2.0? Or should I just stick to this theme which has error on FireFox(only).
You can feedback in the following way:
Name: Ben Pei
URL: www.PeiProfit.com
Change: Yes/No
Reason: What do you think?
Suggested Theme: If you have one..
I will specially thank those who help me in a way or another in this matter and throw a link to your blog. Thank you in advance!

I don’t know Ben. This is the first time I have had problems viewing you blog of all the times I have visited in the past. I strictly use FireFox for everything except modifying my site and then I have to use IE. I kind of like your layout, but if this is going to be a problem with people viewing your blog in FF, then you would have to do something. More and more people are using FF and I don’t think they are going to be courteous and switch over to IE just to view your blog.
Again I have not had any problems until today viewing your blog with FF.
I hope you get it resolved

Hi Ben
That is strange my friend…Today is the first time I have had any problems viewing your blog in FireFox. I use FF exclusively except when I modify my website and then I have to use IE to make changes in my webPanel.
I like your blog the way it is, but you need to do whatever needed to correct your situation. More and more people are starting to use FF and I do not think they will be courteous and switch over to IE just to view your blog.
Also, I left a comment on your blog using FF and it did not post, so I am leaving this comment using IE which your blog looks fine here.
Hope you get it resolved

Well Ben, it’s not quite an accurate statement that IE is perfect, based on the images I sent you a few days ago. To me, I think you’re losing some of your opportunities to maximize your income with this particular theme. I know HTML, but not PHP, so I can’t help you with the coding any more than I already tried. I like the general look, but there are problems that you may or may not be able to correct.
Think about it two ways. One, do you have the time and can you stand the possibly loss of funds in trying to fix it, or deciding to just ignore it? Two, is it easier to get a new theme and update it with all the stuff you have on here now? There are plenty of themes that look close to what you have (http://www.moneymakingscoop.com/blog/) that might do the trick. Don’t rule it out.

Hey Mitch,
Thanks. Thats the feedback I got as well, I could be generating more revenues with other theme.
I like this theme in general too but I think it might too complicated for a blog. Am I right?
I will definitely do something about if it is going to help in anyway..

Well, here’s the thing. I know which theme you downloaded because I just went to the page where you got it from. Theirs looks great, and I can see why you chose it. However, the thing about these pre-made themes (mine is pre-made, by the way, since I don’t know PHP) is that you can’t go trying to change them around to suit you without there being problems. If you used the sizes they did and pretty much done it the way they did, the theme would work just fine. Maybe that’s what you need to do; remove almost all the ads and start from scratch, adding something, then pulling back to see what it looks like. Even in the original theme, though, there’s that bit of white space to the top right that would be driving me crazy.
Anyway, it’s another option. It would be about the same amount of work as selecting a totally brand new theme. But, if it were me, I think I’d find a theme that didn’t have white space that I couldn’t fill as a default. You really want to be able to use all your space at your own discretion.
Good luck with it, though; pulling for you.

Yeah gave me quite a good thought about. Would be waiting for more feedback and meanwhile I will keep a lookout for a simple and nice theme.

Hi Ben,
I really think your theme is quite nice. But if it has problems with FF, then that’s something you really need to fix or like what you are thinking, change theme. Actually I’ve had a few problems only with IE and not FF and I’ve almost never used IE at all. As you know I’ve just recently changed my theme too and can share some thoughts as to why I changed. I am not a techie person on codes, PHP etc so I couldn’t do much on my own to change a lot of stuff I had wanted on that blog. Moreover each time I had problems I always had to turn to friends to help to fix. So I decided to change to a premium theme because it looks nicer and more importantly it has a support forum that you can ask all the questions you have and I get them fixed most times within the day. It’s also a way to learn new things to make your blog better.

Ben,
Oh I forgot to mention. If you decide to keep this theme and really want to fix the problems, look at your widgets first. They are usually the trouble makers on our blogs. First take out all your widgets (backup first) and then add one by one, checking your blog that everything works find with IE and FF. You should be able to find the culprit widgets. That’s what I’ve learned in my Woo Support forum and it has worked for me. It’s this reason I’ve taken out my Entrecard U-Drop I Link widget and a few others.
BTW there is a good plugin I used when I was transitioning to my new blog theme. If you decide to change to another theme you should use this plugin and work on the new theme until you are satisfied with it before you activate the new theme. During that time you still used the old theme. I really loved that plugin.

yes Ben, I can see some a bit flaws here and there.
for me, it depends on how you could solve the problem. If you can solve it, no need to change the theme, if you can’t, you have to change it because it is not a good idea to blog with some flaws in your theme. It’ll distract your readers in some ways.

Hey thanks for your comments. I am going ahead with the change! Just need some support from there.. hehe

Hey Ben,
The only “problem” I have in FF is your right sidebar widgets (I’m assuming they’re widgets) ares ever so slightly asque(sp?) further right…I doubt I would have even noticed had you not said anything.
I see 2 choices. if you have some design mojo as Mitch pointed out, then grab another free theme and play ’till your hearts content…..otherwise have one designed to your specs if you can afford it.
I may be able to throw a recommendation your way, if you decide to go that way.

I haven’t had any problems viewing your site through Firefox. But maybe I’m missing something. Anyway, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to change themes every so often if there is something you don’t like about it. I’d suggest checking out the themes at http://hackwordpress.com/50-best-free-wordpress-themes-gallery/. That’s where I picked mine out.
