I myself have not joined any of these social networks as yet but its amazing how many people have actually placed their businesses on things like Face Book and Twitter, and the feed back that they are getting is really awesome, so I think that it is something really to look into and investigate.

To mass unfollow friends who are not following you back on Twitter, you could have a look at tweetelity.com. It does especially what’s you are talking about.
