First, I wanted to update on the new Pei Profit Blog twitter account that I have created not a long time ago.
I am now followed by 2,189 people and I’m following 2,160! Pei Profit Twitter
Yes, I have already passed the 2,000 follower mark in such a short period of time and much faster than I expected. I had to delete some of the people that were not following me back so I could have the extra space to follow more people. The TWITTER ONLINE SYSTEM must really be working.
I have seen many people across many forums ask how they can unfollow people on twitter. Especially, the ones that are not following them back. We all know that there has to be a better way than having to have to go through each person and press the “remove button.” And there is.
Personally, I use Twitter Karma. On Twitter Karma, all you need to do is put in your Twitter login and press “Whack.” Depending on how many followers you have and how many people you follow, the program will spit out all the people that you are following and also the ones that are not following you back pretty quickly. You can mark the ones that are not following you back and press “Bulk Unfollow.” This will remove those people from your Twitter instantly.
Another mass unfollow tool you can use is called TwitIn. It’s a twitter app for following and unfollowing twitter users in bulk. The site also displays your rating based on certain criteria. You can bulk unfollow 50 twitter users at a time and follow up to 25. This is another nice tool to increase your twitter followers and flush out users who do not follow back.

Yes I use twitter karma too but the only problem is we need to give our Twitter password, so to use Twitter karma, the risk is yours to take

I’ve heard that these auto programs are getting twitter accounts suspended for “unusual activity” Mass unfollowing and mass following. Anyone else heard this?

Someone just told me he unfollowed too many within 1 hour – aBout 400 people and his account got suspended. I guess we should not overdo it or do it periodically.

I myself have not joined any of these social networks as yet but its amazing how many people have actually placed their businesses on things like Face Book and Twitter, and the feed back that they are getting is really awesome, so I think that it is something really to look into and investigate.
