It amazes me that webmasters will spend so much time working on backlinks, but not have a fully optimized website. They write and submit articles, they comment in forums and on blogs to get a link to their site. Then, I go to the site and they have overlooked even the simplest of SEO techniques.

On another note, this is a fantastic list – this is definitely a post that I’ll add to my toolbox of resources!

I am also now compiling a list of article directories that must meet these parameters:

- Must be dofollow
- Articles must be indexed by Google
- Articles must get published
- Articles of 250 words ok

I am doing some very, very serious research on this and all article directories will need to pass rigorous standards as to not waste our time as webmasters…!
