$4,800 A Month, To Believe Or Not?
on 13 April 2009 - 597 viewsBig hey to all you dudes and dudettes out there. I just received an email this afternoon saying that they love my blog and they would pay me $4,800 a month just to advertise on my blog. I thought April’s Fool was long over and it got me really excited.
Then I recalled reading ShoeMoney’s post about this $4,800 ad “scam” and that didn’t take me long to decide that I shouldn’t believe it. Now, it really pays to read what the probloggers have to say huh? They should have experienced much more ups and downs than you!
Here goes a screenshot: To Believe Or Not To Believe?

So the next time you encounter these mails, do take a second more to ponder on it. Check back www.peiprofit.com to see if these scammers have been exposed.
Don’t fall into any money making traps just because you’re desperate to make money!

Yep I got one of these. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. It is a lot like those $20M Nigerian emails.

Well now its hard to get people to believe in that anymore.
Yeah I got these too since 6 months ago. I think they should try to be smarter than this. They probably would have more success if they used a lower amount to trick people.

wow! atleast you had the memory to recall a previous post on this scam before putting yourself in danger. I never knew about this, until know and appreciate the heads up and updates as this goes on. Thanks!
The biggest emails I get are for lotto wins and Nigerians in Hong Kong lol….if I totaled up all the “winnings” and “inheritance” I am supposed to get, I’d be worth over 5 billion dollars so far! lol. The scams people run…I feel sorry for those that fall for them.

Aww anyway they come from the same Network.
Hey Ben,
I’ve been getting emails like this for at least a year now. If you do a simple search for the Contact Them Network you’ll find all the information you need. There was a thread about this some time ago in the Warrior Forum, too.
It’s funny because previous emails they used to send included your link popularity and traffic numbers. Now, they don’t even bother including them. I get less of these emails than I used to, but they’re still annoying.
It’s best to make as many people aware of this as possible. Thanks for posting about it!

I have had a few of these myself but the fun part was that one of them sites had a PR 0 and no traffic and the other one was in a language that they definitely didn’t understand so I was pretty easy for me to see that they weren’t for real.
Does anyone know what these scammers want?

Man it wasn´t real? LOL. I am also always receiving those Nigerian emails from different guys and girls. Of course I would love that those emails were true, I would be rich by now, lol.

I have seen the exact same email, it got past the spam catcher the first time then the second got sen straight to it. I reply back to the nigerian emails about the 2 million dollars n stuff, basically just cussing them out, they are all autoresponders though so no one gets to feel my wrath

Why $4,800? lol
Thats seriously scam. I haven’t got one but this cannot be.
hi Ben,
It sounds like an obvious scam (too good to be true), but I wonder what the “catch” is and how they make their money off you. It is tempting to say, OK, send me a check for the first month and we’ll take it from there…
Do you know what the scam is?

PS. If they were smarter scam artists, I agree, they would offer $48 per month… something more believable.

Wow, there is no shortage of idiot scammers on the internet!
Yeah, there are a lot of things I get via email that I just don’t believe. I have all kinds of people offering me advertising opps and whatnot and sadly many times I decide that either I don’t like it or that I don’t think I trust the person.
