Have you ever felt like you’re in the wrong job currently but can’t find the words to describe it?
Well actually after writing this and reading it over for a few times, it seems to describe one profession. To put it nicely, I would call it social escorts. To put it in a blunt way… Well you can come up with your own words, no offence though!
10 Reasons Why You’re In The Wrong Job
1. Work in weird shifts
2. They pay you to make your superiors happy
3. The government pays a lot of money but your employer keeps almost every penny
4. You are rewarded for fulfilling dreams and records
5. Your friends fall apart and you end up hanging out with people in the same profession as you
6. When you have to attend events you always have to be perfectly grommed
7. But when you leave work for home, it seems like you are coming back from hell
8. You are paid little but your superiors expect incredible things from you
9. When people ask you about your job, you have difficulties explaining it
10. Everyday when you wake up, you say “I’M NOT GOING TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE HERE DOING THIS SHIT!”
So what’s the purpose that drives your life? It’s never too late to start making money online though, if you need some enlightenment, feel free to speak to me! Because Ben Pei makes money online!

Years ago, I worked a horrible job that made me want to crawl into a hole and die … luckily that’s all gone now and I get to blog all day long

I can’t imagine any job that wouldn’t make me to crawl into the corner and die. The idea alone of working for “The Man”, or so called “Boss” makes my nuts to shrivel – sorry for the expression, but it really is so.
Cheers.

@The Moneyac, i think you’ve pretty much summed up what i was going to say haha
i always dread sunday nights because i know the next day is monday in that little office space cubicle busting my butt off to meet deadlines and make sure the man is happy with what im doing.
true story: i got so tired of going to work that i started going late, 15-30 minutest late everyday, but then i came to my senses about the economy and realized that i need the job for the insurance for my kids and cleaned up my act
hopefully i can quit my day job and just blog but for now, it’s going to be full time cubicle and part time blogging
#5 is starting to be me now, im actually seeing myself spending a lot more time with co-workers, going to their house for drinks and even going out on the weekend =X
Someone save me..

Hi Ben,
I like your No. 7 and I’m sure lots of people can identify this with their working lives. Your last sentence is all the encouragement we need. I’m inspired by it. Great that you’re making so much money.

I sooo wish I had “realized” internet marketing earlier in my life.. i know it’s never too late. But tied to a 40 hour a week job that i’ve been at 16+ years, gets kinda scary thinking about leaving and starting fresh ya know?
But it’s all good.. i do enjoy my day job, even though i would love to work for ME! Maybe someday who knows?
Nice post Ben!

Hi Ben,
Seems the number 7 it is the most scary one. I am still looking to fire my boss. I know I will soon and you help us then maybe sooner.
BTW, Ben, Did you know why CommentLuv seems not giving love anymore, its not only yours I have seen lots of places with the same problem.

@MBR: I asked the CommentLuv guy a similar question and he told me that it can happen if the site(your registered cl site!) loads too slow…
…I asked him what would be a solution for getting my CL to display on other sites and he told me to buy more bandwidth L.O.L.!!!!
On the serious note thugh, goto the CL forum and check out some of the things posted concerning this

@Caleb- Thanks,LOL, I will tell my hosting co. to speed up my site, but for free I dont want any more charges in my account, lol.
Seriously I have seen that the sezwho app make my site very slow, I dont know if this app really worth to have it on my site, I heard other bloggers complaining about the same and they decide to get rid of it, maybe I need to do the same.

I heard that same thing concerning SezWho -even with SuperCache installed- which is one reason why I didn’t go for it. It supposedly helps with Entrecard but I believe it reveals a bit too much
btw: Nice cursor icon you got although I’m not much of a Steelers fan.

I find it hard to believe you would write a post about being in the wrong job, while the economy is so bad. Right now….I feel that if you are in a job that pays the bills…It’s the right job. Like the saying goes….
I once complained because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.

I’ve been pretty lucky I guess. My jobs have always paid well for doing something I enjoyed even though long hours.
@Dennis: I agree Dennis but think it can be a good thing.

Hello Ben,
I like that I have not been at a ‘real’ job for years. Working online lets me yell & cuss at anyone I want & does not upset them. Well, as long as I am not on a live call.
Then again I was a bartender & also worked some construction so, I yelled and cussed at people all the time then & none seemed to notice. LOL!
Luckily most of the things on your list never applied to jobs I had. I will say that after working at home so long, the fact that a ‘real’ job would mean wearing something other than flannel pants (or shorts), t-shirt, & flip flops would kill me.

One other thing that I hate with my nine to five job is office politics. I hate it. I need to continuously make an effort to make everybody known that I was behind this and that project and should be given credit for. Its so foolish but can’t help.
